Leasing Professional – Bergen County

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Leasing Professional to lead marketing, leasing, and renewal activities for a community in Bergen County. The role focuses on driving occupancy, revenue, and resident satisfaction through proactive leasing and resident engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and qualify prospects, conduct tours, and showcase apartments.
• Process applications, perform credit screening and criminal background checks, and prepare lease and move‑in packages.
• Inspect apartments before move‑in, coordinate with maintenance to ensure readiness.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform short‑ and long‑term marketing plans.
• Design and execute marketing initiatives, including resident referral programs, employer outreach, and online advertising on platforms such as Craigslist and Facebook.
• Utilize on‑site property management software (OneSite, Yardi) to track availability, record leasing activity, and manage prospect data.
• Maintain show unit standards through daily inspections and coordination with the maintenance team.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation with the ability to qualify prospects and guide them through the leasing process.
• Attention to detail for apartment inspections and documentation.
• Ability to stay informed about local market conditions and adjust strategies accordingly.

Required skills

• Proficiency with OneSite property management software.
• Proficiency with Yardi property management software.
• Experience using internet marketing tools such as Craigslist, Facebook, and email platforms.
