Learning Consultant – Training Specialist

About the role

Join Marathon Petroleum as a Learning Consultant responsible for designing, delivering, and managing training programs that support business objectives across multiple locations. You will act as the central point of contact for learning initiatives, ensuring a consistent and effective learning experience for all employees.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct training needs assessments with key stakeholders and develop tailored learning solutions.
• Design, develop, coordinate, schedule, and implement in‑house training courses, exams, and evaluations.
• Serve as the primary liaison for vendor‑provided training, creating course content and curriculum.
• Create and maintain instructional materials, manuals, guides, and job aids.
• Facilitate onboarding sessions for new hires and manage logistics for all training events.
• Collect feedback, evaluate program effectiveness, and continuously improve training offerings.
• Administer the Learning Management System (LMS) and ensure compliance with training deadlines.
• Maintain accurate training records to support audit processes and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum two years of experience in training design, delivery, or LMS administration.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel up to 40% of the time.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with subject‑matter experts.
