Lead Software Integration Engineer – Workday

About the role

Mastercard is looking for a Lead Software Integration Engineer to drive the evolution of its Workday platform. You will architect, design, and deliver enterprise‑grade solutions that enhance employee experiences across a global organization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, development, testing, implementation, documentation, and support of enterprise applications using Workday Extend.
• Architect scalable solutions leveraging Workday Extend, Orchestrate, APIs, Studio, Core Connectors, EIBs, and Workday Web Services.
• Design reusable frameworks, shared services, and engineering patterns to accelerate platform delivery.
• Define technical architecture, security models, development standards, and best practices across the Workday platform.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Security, and Business teams to deliver secure, modern employee solutions.
• Lead Agile delivery activities, collaborate with Product Owners, manage backlogs, and drive iterative releases.
• Promote continuous improvement through planning, estimation, retrospectives, and operational excellence.
• Balance strategic initiatives, technical debt reduction, operational support, and feature delivery to maximize business value.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading integration engineering teams in a large, global enterprise.
• Strong ability to translate business strategy into technical architecture.
• Experience guiding Agile engineering practices and delivering complex platform capabilities.
