Lead Security Technician

About the role

The Lead Security Technician will head install, repair and service projects for commercial security, access control and video surveillance systems, ensuring high‑quality delivery and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead multi‑system installations, including cabling, hardware setup and programming for alarm, access control and video surveillance.
• Install and terminate Category 5, 5e, and 6 cables, perform terminations on 110 & 66 blocks and patch panels, and cross‑connect CO lines.
• Provide guidance and support to other security technicians, document installations, and maintain vehicle and equipment records.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record and ability to travel as needed.
• Physical ability to climb ladders, lift heavy equipment and operate scissors and articulated lifts safely.
• Capability to read and interpret blueprints and understand Wisconsin building codes.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of alarm systems, access control and video surveillance hardware.
• Experience with low‑voltage AC/DC power, multimeter testing and diagnostic troubleshooting.
• TCP/IP networking knowledge and ability to program security systems.
• Proficiency in installing and terminating CAT5/5e/6 cabling, 110 & 66 blocks, patch panels and CO line cross‑connections.
