Lead Operator

About the role

WIN Waste Innovations is seeking a Lead Operator to oversee heavy‑equipment operations in its waste‑management facilities. The role combines hands‑on equipment handling with team leadership, ensuring safety, compliance and efficient material movement.

Key responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment and material‑moving machinery in accordance with company safety policies.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections, preventative maintenance and maintain accurate records.
• Provide guidance, coaching and on‑the‑job training to less‑experienced operators.
• Serve as the first point of contact for accidents or injuries and execute “Stop Work” procedures.
• Communicate between supervisors and front‑line staff, relaying issues and ensuring clear messaging.
• Maintain a positive work environment and represent company values with integrity.

• Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of operators.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills for equipment‑related issues.
