Lead NTP Surveyor – Atlanta

About the role

The State of Georgia’s Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities is seeking a Lead NTP Surveyor to oversee compliance surveys of Narcotic Treatment Programs across the state. Reporting to the DATEP/NTP Licensure Manager, you will guide a team of surveyors, ensure regulatory adherence, and travel extensively throughout Georgia.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and conduct compliance surveys of NTP facilities.
• Evaluate facility adherence to state rules and regulations, preparing detailed findings and licensing recommendations.
• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate a team of NTP surveyors, supporting their professional development.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of all relevant statutes, policies, and technical guidelines.
• Provide technical assistance to facilities and internal staff regarding compliance requirements.
• Enter accurate data into state databases and maintain records in line with federal and state law.
• Communicate findings clearly, both verbally and in written reports, to providers and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Experience conducting compliance surveys or inspections in a regulated health environment.
• Strong understanding of narcotic treatment program regulations and licensing processes.
• Ability to travel statewide up to 75% of the time.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven supervisory or team‑lead experience.
