Lead Network Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Lead Network Engineer to drive the design, deployment, and automation of our multi‑site load‑balancing and DNS infrastructure. The role focuses on F5 BIG‑IP DNS, NGINX Plus, Azure networking, and Infrastructure‑as‑Code practices.

Key responsibilities

• Provision and configure two new F5 BIG‑IP DNS standalone nodes and upgrade four existing BIG‑IP DNS nodes plus one BIG‑IQ platform.
• Validate Wide IP and DNS configurations and integrate them with an Arista‑based BGP Anycast architecture.
• Manage NGINX Plus deployments in Azure, including HA pairs, custom server farms, and Azure Load Balancer integration.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance automation frameworks using Terraform, Ansible, YAML, Jinja2 templates, and GitHub workflows.
• Troubleshoot and optimise DNS, GTM, and NGINX services, providing recommendations for scalability and resiliency.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless operational optimisation across network platforms.

Required profile

• Extensive hands‑on experience with F5 BIG‑IP DNS/GTM administration and BIG‑IQ lifecycle management.
• Strong background in BGP routing, Arista switching, and Azure networking.
• Deep expertise in NGINX Plus, including high‑availability deployments and Azure Load Balancer integration.
• Proven ability to work independently and lead complex automation projects.
