Lead Instructor (RBT) – ABA Therapy

About the role

FirstSteps is seeking an experienced Lead Instructor to deliver high‑quality Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to children diagnosed with autism and related learning differences. You will work directly with families in homes, schools, and our center while collaborating closely with in‑person Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to enhance treatment outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide ABA therapy in client homes, schools, and center settings.
• Partner with BCBAs to implement individualized treatment plans and refine your clinical skills.
• Coach parents and caregivers to support skill generalization outside of therapy sessions.
• Mentor new Clinical Trainees using Behavior Skills Training (BST) to build their competence and professionalism.
• Maintain accurate data collection and ensure consistent implementation of treatment protocols.

Required profile

• Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or Behavior Technician (BT) certification.
• Passion for working directly with children and families.
• Eagerness to learn from experienced, in‑person BCBAs.
• Enjoyment in teaching and supporting new clinical team members.
• Commitment to a collaborative, people‑first environment and evidence‑based care.

Required skills

• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification.
• Behavior Technician (BT) experience.
• Knowledge of Behavior Skills Training (BST) methods.
