Lead Housekeeper

About the role

Dot Foods Inc. is hiring a Lead Housekeeper in Mount Sterling, Illinois. You will oversee the nightly janitorial and housekeeping staff and perform routine housekeeping duties yourself, with about half of your time spent on hands-on housekeeping work.

Key responsibilities

• Assign nightly work responsibilities to other housekeepers.
• Provide feedback on employee work performance.
• Assist other housekeepers in completing their essential duties.
• Oversee the nightly safety behavior of the department.
• Follow and apply standard work and work instructions.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts using lean thinking and tools to eliminate waste.

Required profile

• High school diploma or general equivalency degree.
• Safety-oriented, dependable and self-motivated.
• Able to lift at least 50 pounds and able to stand for long periods.
• Able to speak to groups.

Required skills

• PC skills.
• Lean thinking and tools for continuous improvement.
