Lead Electrical Engineer – Hardware Design

About the role

Lead hands‑on electronics design for battery‑powered Sonicare products, taking project‑level hardware from concept through industrialization and production readiness. Own project‑level electronics design as a technical lead while partnering with hardware architects on platform direction.

Key responsibilities

• Own project‑level electronics design for Sonicare products as a hands‑on technical lead.
• Design schematics, guide and review PCB layouts, and resolve cross‑disciplinary hardware issues with firmware, mechanical, verification, industrialization, procurement, suppliers, and layout teams.
• Apply design‑for‑manufacturing and design‑for‑test principles, support automated functional test, analyze production data for quality trends, and work with suppliers during industrialization.
• Travel internationally (~10% of the time) to collaborate with global colleagues, suppliers, and partners.

Required profile

• 7+ years of hands‑on electronics hardware design experience with battery‑powered, high‑volume consumer or regulated healthcare devices.
• Experience in lithium‑ion battery system design, low‑power embedded hardware, mixed‑signal board design, schematic capture, layout review, resonant motor or power‑drive electronics, and compliance with safety, EMC, radio, and electrical standards.
• Understanding of wireless hardware integration, RF layout practices, antenna placement, grounding, shielding, and regulatory test support.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• Ability to travel internationally and work onsite at least three days per week.
