Lead Developer – IT Software Engineering COE

About the role

World Wide Technology is seeking a Lead Developer to join its Internal IT Software Engineering Center of Excellence (COE) – Core Development team at the St. Louis headquarters. The role focuses on building and maintaining core applications and component libraries that power critical IT processes for internal users worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high‑visibility core applications and reusable component libraries.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and other technical staff to deliver robust, scalable solutions.
• Ensure code quality, performance, and security across all delivered components.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading software development projects in an enterprise IT environment.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and a track record of delivering mission‑critical solutions.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within cross‑functional teams.
