About the role
The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago is seeking a Law Enforcement Technology Administrator to manage, maintain, and secure its law‑enforcement unit technology. This intermediate‑level position works under general supervision and focuses on physical access security and video surveillance systems.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor and support EPASS and EVSS security systems, optimizing configurations and detecting equipment issues.
- Coordinate corrective actions with electricians, network administrators, and vendors.
- Perform system administration, ensuring audit‑compliant procedures for installations and modifications.
- Create and program identification badges for contractors and employees.
- Administer fingerprinting, background checks, and the automated fingerprinting identification system.
- Analyze vulnerability alerts, apply patches, and maintain virus definitions and monthly scans.
- Provide training to officers, generate scheduled and ad‑hoc reports, and conduct regular system testing.
- Participate in access reviews, maintain access request records, and collaborate across the Federal Reserve System.
Required profile
- Associate’s degree or equivalent specialized training, certification, or experience.
- 3‑5 years of professional experience in law enforcement, IT, or related fields.
- Knowledge of information security standards and best practices.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational abilities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
