Law Enforcement Officer – Federal Reserve Bank

About the role

The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia is seeking a Law Enforcement Officer to protect and safeguard its premises, property, personnel, assets and operations. The role involves providing customer‑focused security services, responding to emergencies, and performing law‑enforcement duties on‑site.

Key responsibilities

• Enforce applicable federal laws and protect lives, property and bank operations.
• Respond to disturbances, emergencies and potentially life‑threatening situations.
• Secure crime scenes, perimeters and high‑security areas, including vehicle and personal inspections.
• Conduct interior and exterior patrols, welfare checks and escorts through restricted zones.
• Access NCIC and intelligence databases to check warrants and watch‑list status.
• Detain individuals with active warrants and coordinate with local law enforcement.
• Prepare detailed incident reports for emergencies and routine events.

Required profile

• Successful completion of the Federal Reserve System’s Basic Law Enforcement Course (BLEC).
• Ability to read, comprehend and execute established departmental policies.
• Capacity to make critical decisions during emergencies before senior officers arrive.
• Clear understanding of NCIC procedures and warrant handling.
