About the role

The Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office is seeking an experienced Law Enforcement Lieutenant to lead a section, unit, or project. This internal position offers the opportunity to shape public safety initiatives, manage resources, and represent the agency in the community.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with staff to foster an inclusive, safe, and supportive work environment.

• Develop and maintain positive community relationships through engagement activities.
• Plan, organize and oversee daily law‑enforcement operations for an assigned area.
• Prepare, administer and monitor a complex budget, providing recommendations as needed.

• Supervise subordinate supervisors, assigning tasks and ensuring performance standards.
