About the role

The Florida Division of Alcoholic Beverages & Tobacco is seeking a sworn Law Enforcement Lieutenant to supervise a squad within its Bureau of Law Enforcement. This permanent, onsite position is based in the Orlando District Office and offers a $5,000 sign‑on bonus for eligible first‑time officers.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise squad agents in completing mandatory SYNAR tobacco surveys and alcohol compliance inspections.
• Oversee issuance of citations and arrests for under‑age possession of tobacco and alcoholic beverages.
• Coordinate special projects and duties assigned by the Law Enforcement Captain.
• Ensure squad performance meets division goals for regulatory enforcement.
• Work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as operational needs dictate.

Required profile

• Successful completion of the Florida CJSTC law enforcement examination or recognized equivalency.
• Residency within 70 miles of the Orlando District Office is strongly encouraged.
• Demonstrated investigative and critical‑thinking abilities.
