Launch Operations Engineer – Spacecraft Integration

About the role

Parsons is looking for a talented Launch Operations Engineer to join its growing space launch services team. You’ll be part of a program that provides rideshare opportunities for spacecraft and satellites on NSSL launch vehicles such as ULA and SpaceX.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate launch campaign planning and execution, including spacecraft processing and integration activities.
• Develop and coordinate operational schedules to manage internal and external stakeholders.
• Serve as the main point of contact with customers and stakeholder groups.
• Coordinate technical project management tasks and interface between engineering, operations, and project teams.
• Support system‑level testing, troubleshooting, and mission execution.
• Manage technical requirements and ensure alignment between customer needs and operational timelines.
• Engage in hands‑on operations and support technician‑level activities as needed.

Required profile

• Active Secret security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) with 5+ years in integration engineering, launch integration, or spacecraft systems engineering.
• Prior launch campaign experience in launch operations, spacecraft processing, or mission integration.
• Strong understanding of launch site operations, spacecraft integration, and ground support equipment.
• Technical project management experience.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and organizational abilities.
• Willingness to travel and support operations at remote sites.
