Landscaping Crew Leader

About the role

The Landscaping Crew Leader supervises a field crew, ensuring safe, efficient, and high‑quality work on each job site. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the leader trains team members, manages resources, and resolves client issues while meeting project timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and follow schedules, material lists, and timelines in coordination with management.
• Organize, supervise, and train crew members to complete landscaping projects within established guidelines.
• Ensure contractual obligations are met using proper horticultural practices.
• Maintain equipment through preventative‑maintenance programs and conduct weekly site inspections.
• Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency and quality.
• Communicate with onsite clients, address requests, and keep management informed of concerns.
• Maintain a safe work environment and enforce all company safety policies.

Required profile

• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Fluent English communication; Spanish bilingualism preferred.
• Strong leadership, dependability, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to plan, organize, and direct a team efficiently.
• Flexibility to work varying hours based on weather and season.

Required skills

• General knowledge of irrigation systems.
• Horticultural maintenance practices.
• Operation and maintenance of landscape‑maintenance equipment.
• Valid driver’s license (State Technician/Applicator license preferred).
