Landscaping Crew Leader

About the role

The Crew Leader supervises a landscaping team on‑site, ensuring safety, efficiency, and high‑quality results. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the leader plans work, trains crew members, and resolves client issues while maintaining equipment and materials.

Key responsibilities

• Create schedules and follow job specifications, including materials and timelines.
• Organise, supervise, lead and train employees to complete projects within established guidelines.
• Ensure contractual obligations are met using proper horticultural practices.
• Comply with equipment preventative‑maintenance programs and conduct weekly site inspections.
• Maintain punch lists, identify process improvements, and uphold safety standards.
• Communicate with onsite clients, address requests, and keep management informed of concerns.

Required profile

• At least 18 years old with reliable English communication (Spanish bilingual preferred).
• Demonstrated leadership, dependability, and strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to plan, organise, and direct a team efficiently.
• Consistent attendance and flexibility to work varying hours based on weather/season.

Required skills

• General knowledge of irrigation systems.
• General knowledge of horticultural and maintenance practices.
• Ability to safely operate and maintain landscape equipment.
• Valid driver’s license.
• State Technician and/or Applicator license (preferred, not required).
