Landscaping Crew Leader

About the role

The Landscaping Crew Leader supervises a field crew to ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality landscape maintenance. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the leader plans work, trains staff, and resolves client issues while meeting project timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Create schedules and follow job specifications, including materials and timelines.
• Organize, supervise, lead, and train employees to complete projects within guidelines.
• Ensure contractual obligations align with proper horticultural practices.
• Comply with equipment preventative‑maintenance program and conduct weekly site inspections.
• Maintain punch lists, identify process improvements, and communicate with onsite clients.
• Maintain safe working conditions and follow all company safety guidelines.

Required profile

• At least 18 years of age.
• Minimum two years of professional landscape maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work variable hours based on weather/season.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage conflict.

Required skills

• Valid driver’s license.
• General knowledge of irrigation systems.
• General knowledge of horticultural and maintenance practices.
• Ability to safely operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment.
• State Technician and/or Applicator license (preferred).
