Landscaper – Golf Course & Residential Grounds

About the role

Discovery Land Company’s Driftwood Golf and Ranch Club near Austin, TX is seeking a dedicated Landscaper to maintain the visual appeal of its golf course, club amenities, and residential properties. You will play a key part in delivering the premium experience expected by members and guests.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain landscapes across the golf course, club facilities, residential homes and common areas, including weeding, mowing, string trimming, edging, mulching, fertilizing, pruning and raking.
• Install new plantings and seasonal color displays, and provide ongoing watering and care.
• Participate in leaf removal during dormant seasons and assist with special landscape projects.
• Operate hand tools and equipment safely, such as push mowers, zero‑turn mowers, skid steers, tractors and mini‑excavators.
• Set up and close down department tools daily, keep work areas orderly, and report safety or maintenance issues.
• Attend department meetings, trainings and perform any additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Prior landscaping experience, preferably in residential or hospitality settings.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate vehicles safely.
• Positive attitude, professional demeanor and strong communication skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Ability to meet physical demands, including standing, walking and lifting up to 50 lb for extended periods.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.

Required skills

• Operation of push rotary mowers, zero‑turn mowers and riding mowers.
• Use of string trimmers, backpack blowers and edging tools.
• Handling of utility vehicles, skid steers, tractors and mini‑excavators.
• Basic knowledge of chemical and fertilizer applications for healthy landscapes.
