About the role
The Landscape Laborer supports Georgetown University’s Facilities Management department by maintaining the campus’s landscaped areas. This full‑time, on‑site position ensures that the grounds are attractive, safe, and functional for students, staff, and visitors.
Key responsibilities
- Grass mowing, trimming, edging, and weed removal.
- Irrigating lawns and planted areas, mulching, and reactivating flower beds and tree saucers.
- Laying sod, applying pesticides, and pressure‑washing surfaces.
- Performing seasonal maintenance tasks and responding to service requests such as storm‑drain preventive work.
- Handling emergencies and adhering to safety regulations while using standard landscaping tools and equipment.
Required profile
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1–3 years of grounds or landscape maintenance experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to operate pickup trucks, tractors, skid‑steer loaders, and all‑terrain vehicles.
