About the role

Georgetown University is seeking a full‑time Landscape Gardener II to join its Facilities Management team. The role involves maintaining the university’s extensive landscaped areas across both campuses, ensuring they remain attractive, safe, and functional for students, staff, and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Mow, trim, and edge grass on lawns and pathways.
• Remove weeds, mulch beds, and re‑activate flower beds and tree saucers.
• Irrigate lawns and planted areas, lay sod, and assist with pesticide applications.
• Perform seasonal maintenance tasks, respond to service requests, and handle emergency ground‑care situations.
• Operate standard landscaping tools and equipment while adhering to all safety regulations.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1‑3 years of grounds or landscape maintenance experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to operate pickup trucks, tractors, skid‑steer loaders, and all‑terrain vehicles.
