Laboratory Services Technician 2

About the role

The Laboratory Services Technician 2 will oversee production and monitoring of murine embryos using natural mating or IVF technology, and will design, plan and execute bioassays with mouse embryos, human spermatozoa or other specified materials in accordance with established protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct cell‑based bioassays (MEA, HSSA, BET) for routine testing and lot release.
• Prepare media, solutions and device extraction methods following ISO 10933.
• Perform endotoxin bioassays using kinetic turbidimetric and gel‑clot systems.
• Maintain, calibrate and perform preventative maintenance on laboratory equipment.
• Collect, evaluate and grade embryos and spermatozoa, including cryopreservation and inventory management.
• Generate and interpret data, construct Certificates of Analysis, and conduct osmolarity and pH testing.
• Collaborate with Laboratory and Quality Management to drive continuous improvement.
• Investigate root‑cause, implement corrective actions for deviations and non‑conformities.

Required profile

• Experience conducting cell‑based bioassays such as MEA, HSSA and BET.
• Familiarity with ISO 10933 extraction methods and endotoxin testing protocols.
• Ability to handle mouse embryos, IVF procedures and sperm motility assays.
• Knowledge of cryopreservation techniques and inventory control.
• Strong adherence to SOPs and laboratory safety practices.
