Laboratory Coordinator I/II

About the role

The Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station’s Zachry Common Labs is seeking a full‑time Laboratory Coordinator I or II. Reporting to the Senior Laboratory Coordinator, you will support day‑to‑day laboratory logistics across multiple floors and help maintain accurate institutional documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Laboratory Coordinator with operational oversight of lab spaces.
• Coordinate multi‑floor laboratory activities, including equipment scheduling and safety compliance.
• Maintain and update institutional records and documentation.
• Support teaching, research, and service‑center functions within the labs.
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, and students to ensure smooth laboratory operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 1 year of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., high school diploma with 5 years, associate’s degree with 3 years).
• For the II level, a Bachelor’s degree with additional relevant experience.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently under general supervision.
