Labor Market Associate – Workforce Statistics

About the role

The Georgia Department of Labor is seeking a detail‑oriented Labor Market Associate to join its Workforce Statistics Division. In this position you will support the collection, verification, and analysis of employment and wage data that informs policymakers, businesses, and job seekers across the state.

Key responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and maintain employment and wage data for accuracy and completeness.
• Contact employers by phone or email to verify, clarify, or correct reported information.
• Research and resolve data discrepancies, identifying trends and opportunities for process improvement.
• Compile statistical reports following established methodology and support special projects or grant initiatives.
• Monitor work quality, recommend enhancements, and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
• Handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with employers and internal teams.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
