Labor & Employment Associate

About the role

FBT Gibbons LLP is seeking a Labor & Employment Associate to join its San Francisco and Los Angeles offices. The associate will work on complex employment litigation matters and provide strategic counsel to employer clients across a range of industries.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage substantive employment litigation matters in state and federal courts.
• Provide advice on wage‑hour compliance, non‑compete, confidentiality and non‑solicitation agreements.
• Represent employer clients before state and federal agencies.
• Draft and review employment policies, contracts, and related documentation.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and client communication.

Required profile

• 3–7 years of hands‑on employment litigation experience.
• California bar admission.
• Strong academic credentials and excellent research and writing abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Required skills

• Employment litigation and dispute resolution.
• Wage‑hour compliance and defense.
• Drafting and negotiating non‑compete, confidentiality, and non‑solicitation agreements.
• Experience representing employers before courts and regulatory agencies.
