About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking a part‑time Lab Tutor to support students in CNC and machine tool courses at the North Metro Campus of Chattahoochee Technical College. This role offers hands‑on interaction with equipment and direct assistance to learners during lab sessions.

Key responsibilities

Assist CNC and machine tool students with lab work and coursework.
Prepare and maintain lab equipment, including manual lathes, mills and CNC machines.
Provide guidance on safe operation and troubleshooting of equipment.
Support instructors during lab sessions and ensure lab schedules are followed.

Required profile

Completed MCHT 1119 and MCHT 1120 with an “A” grade.
Enrolled in or completed at least one 2000‑level Advanced Machine Tool course (AMCA 21xx).
Program GPA of 3.3 or higher.
Working knowledge of manual lathe and mill operations.

What we offer

Part‑time schedule: 22 hours per week.
