Lab Technician – Night Shift

About the role

Lab Technicians at Plasmidsaurus are essential to the laboratory’s daily operations, preparing DNA libraries and running sequencing runs that deliver fast results to customers worldwide. The role is based onsite in South San Francisco and works a night‑shift schedule (7 pm – 3 am, Tuesday‑Saturday).

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and troubleshoot DNA samples for sequencing, adjusting reagents as needed.
• Operate, maintain and monitor sequencing and liquid‑handling instruments.
• Perform quality‑control checks on sequencing output and conduct basic data analysis.
• Document procedures and follow safety and compliance protocols.
• Collaborate with bioinformaticians and the global logistics team to ensure timely delivery of consumables and results.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of hands‑on experience in a DNA‑based laboratory.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States for the duration of employment.
• Willingness to work the specified night‑shift schedule.
