About the role

This position performs a variety of laboratory functions to support patient care, including phlebotomy, specimen receipt, accessioning, distribution, and specific test procedures. The role operates on the evening shift and works as needed (PRN) to meet departmental demands.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform clinical assignments and support departmental goals.
  • Process, receive, accession, and distribute laboratory specimens.
  • Resolve problems and adapt interactions to diverse patient populations.
  • Carry out other related duties as required.

Required profile

  • High School diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Completion of a phlebotomy course (preferred).
  • No prior work experience required.
  • Current or trainee state phlebotomy license (preferred).
  • Strong computer and data‑entry skills.
  • Proficiency with Windows‑style applications.
  • Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Knowledge of venipuncture procedures.
