Lab Specialist

About the role

Moog is seeking a Lab Specialist to join its Technical Process team in Christiansburg, VA. You will work in a collaborative environment that values precision, safety, and continuous improvement, performing a variety of analytical tests to keep processes within specification.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine and non‑routine laboratory tests, documenting results in notebooks and electronic systems.
• Calibrate, clean, organize, and maintain laboratory instruments to ensure reliable operation.
• Interpret analytical data accurately and communicate findings to the process team.
• Follow all safety protocols, handle hazardous materials properly, and maintain a compliant lab environment.
• Assist in training and cross‑training of colleagues and contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience or education in chemistry or a laboratory setting.
• Strong ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Basic arithmetic skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• High attention to detail and precision in data recording.
• Understanding of laboratory safety procedures and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain confidentiality.
