Lab Assistant – Hospital Processor Second Shift

About the role

Join the front line of healthcare heroes as a Lab Assistant on the second shift. You will ensure patient specimens are processed, prepared, routed, and stored accurately, supporting the delivery of high‑quality clinical results.

Key responsibilities

• Process, prepare, route, and store laboratory specimens in compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Identify when corrective action is needed and implement effective solutions.
• Work safely in a laboratory environment with biological hazards and required PPE.
• Champion safety, compliance, and quality‑control practices.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous training or experience in specimen collection or processing is preferred.
• Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to operate general laboratory equipment.

Required skills

• Centrifuge operation
• Laboratory equipment operation (e.g., computers, telephones, audible alarms)
• Computer usage for data entry
