Korean Bilingual Quality Engineer – Product Liability & Failure Analysis

About the role

The Quality Engineer will perform daily failure analysis of mobile devices linked to product liability and safety claims. Using advanced analytical equipment such as X‑Ray, CT scanners and digital microscopes, the engineer will generate detailed technical reports for R&D and collaborate with engineering teams to improve product quality and repair productivity. The role also involves communicating with management and product management to investigate user environments and product specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct failure analysis of mobile device cases using X‑Ray/CT machines, digital microscopes and overheating test equipment.
• Identify design improvements and serviceability constraints during reverse‑engineering activities.
• Prepare detailed analysis reports for R&D and work with engineering to enhance next‑generation repair processes.
• Investigate user environments causing defects and relay findings to product management.
• Perform electronics testing with X‑Ray, CT, SEM and EDS technologies, including on‑site scene and laboratory inspections.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics Engineering or a related field.
• Entry‑level experience (up to 3 years) with a strong preference for mobile‑industry background.
• Fluent bilingual proficiency in English and Korean.
• Project management abilities and capacity to prioritize in a complex environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) in a Windows setting.
