Knowledge Management Specialist (FOIA & Privacy)

About the role

The Knowledge Management Specialist will support Advent Services’ A3 Operations by overseeing the Wing’s Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and Privacy Act programs, ensuring compliance with federal and DoD regulations, and managing the lifecycle of official records and publications.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the Wing FOIA program: process requests, maintain tracking logs, update procedures, and coordinate with Air Force and base FOIA offices.
• Administer the Wing Privacy Act program: handle privacy requests, monitor PII incidents, maintain compliance documentation, and support privacy breach reporting.
• Coordinate records‑management activities using enterprise content‑management systems to ensure proper classification, storage, retrieval, and retention.
• Support compliance with the Federal Records Act, NARA, AFRL, and Department of the Air Force records‑management policies.
• Oversee the creation, maintenance, retention, and disposition of official records, publications, operating instructions, and standardized forms.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of relevant experience, or Associate’s degree with 4 years.
• Knowledge of Federal laws and DoD/Air Force guidance on information lifecycle management, records management, and public disclosures.
• Experience handling FOIA requests and safeguarding PII/CUI, including privacy breach reporting.
• Minimum 2 years developing official documentation, executive briefings, and communications for senior leadership.
• Ability to provide a signed Non‑Disclosure Agreement before starting work.
