Kitchen Team Lead (Full-Time)

About the role

Straight and Narrow is seeking a Kitchen Team Lead to oversee daily food service operations across its residential and outpatient treatment facilities. This full‑time position provides guidance to kitchen staff, ensures safe and nutritious meals, and supports special events and program activities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide daily leadership and support to food service staff, coordinating work assignments for efficient meal service.
• Monitor adherence to food safety, sanitation, and organizational policies; report equipment or staffing issues.
• Assist the Food Service Director with menu preparation, special‑diet accommodations, and event catering.
• Maintain accurate inventories, conduct routine counts, and manage ordering using FIFO and minimum‑stock methods.
• Receive, inspect, and store deliveries safely; maintain vendor relationships and pricing comparisons.
• Support meal preparation, service, and distribution, ensuring compliance with dietary requirements and quality standards.
• Perform end‑of‑day kitchen inspections, cleaning, and equipment care to keep facilities organized and compliant.
