Kitchen Staff Substitute

About the role

We are looking for a flexible Kitchen Staff Substitute to support our food service operations on an as‑needed basis. You will help maintain high‑quality food preparation, service, and safety standards across our locations.

Key responsibilities

• Set up serving lines daily and ensure food is held at required temperatures.
• Assist in food preparation according to menu plans and company recipes.
• Operate slicers, mixers, grinders, and other kitchen equipment with proper certification.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and follow FIFO inventory practices.
• Handle cash transactions and make change during service when required.
• Record temperatures, complete HACCP logs, and follow all food safety procedures.
• Restock serving lines, serve portions with appropriate utensils, and present food attractively.
• Participate in safety programs, meetings, and required training.

• Ability to perform essential kitchen functions on a flexible schedule.
• Attention to detail and commitment to food safety regulations.
• Willingness to follow company policies and core values.

Required skills

• Operation of slicers, mixers, and grinders.
• Food safety knowledge (HACCP, temperature monitoring).
