Kitchen Leader

About the role

Chipotle is looking for a Kitchen Leader to ensure every dish meets the brand’s high standards of quality and safety. In this hands‑on role you will prepare food, manage inventory, maintain a clean kitchen environment, and mentor crew members to become future leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Cook and prep menu items to order, following Chipotle’s recipes and food‑safety procedures.
• Monitor food waste, inventory levels, and resolve any quality issues.
• Keep the kitchen clean, sanitized, and well‑stocked; oversee equipment maintenance.
• Train and develop crew members, fostering a strong back‑of‑house team.
• Complete required paperwork such as MSDS forms and FIFO inventory rotation logs.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous restaurant or food‑service experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively in the primary language of the location.
• Understanding of Chipotle’s “Food With Integrity” philosophy.

Required skills

• Food preparation techniques including grilling and sautéing.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
• Inventory management and basic record‑keeping (MSDS, FIFO).
