Kitchen Leader

About the role

Chipotle is looking for a Kitchen Leader to oversee food preparation, ensure quality and safety, and develop crew members into future leaders. This onsite role blends hands‑on cooking with team mentorship in a fast‑casual environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items to order, maintaining Chipotle’s flavor standards.
• Monitor food waste, inventory levels, and resolve quality issues.
• Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and fully stocked, following sanitation protocols.
• Maintain and troubleshoot kitchen equipment, ensuring timely repairs.
• Complete required paperwork such as MSDS and FIFO inventory rotation.
• Train and coach crew members to become future Kitchen Leaders.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous restaurant or food‑service experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively in the primary language of the location.
• Understanding of Chipotle’s “Food With Integrity” philosophy.

Required skills

• Food preparation and grilling techniques.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
• Basic equipment maintenance awareness.
