About the role

The Washington Elementary School District is seeking a dedicated Kindergarten Teacher for the 2026‑2027 school year. The incumbent will deliver high‑quality instruction, create an engaging classroom environment, and support the academic and social growth of young learners.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver lessons aligned with district curriculum and Arizona State standards.
• Diagnose learning needs and provide individualized or small‑group instruction.
• Communicate regularly with parents through newsletters, notes, phone calls, and conferences.
• Maintain classroom behavior standards and a safe, supportive learning atmosphere.
• Assess student progress, keep records, and prepare progress reports.
• Coordinate teacher aides, volunteers, and field‑trip activities.
• Integrate technology into lesson plans and create attractive learning displays.

Required profile

• Valid Arizona Department of Education teaching certification for Kindergarten.
• Arizona Department of Public Safety Identified Verified Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Commitment to ethical behavior, confidentiality, and professional standards.
