Kids Camp Attendant

About the role

The Kids Camp Attendant joins the Summit Club team to ensure a safe, fun, and engaging experience for children ages 5‑13 during camp activities. This onsite position supports the Discovery Land Company’s commitment to exceptional member service by supervising, guiding, and enriching camp programs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and participate in games, sports, arts‑and‑crafts, and other camp activities.
• Prioritize safety and enjoyment of all participants.
• Transport children to off‑site events and within the property using company vehicles (SUV, golf cart, ATV) while complying with all safety regulations.
• Supervise overnight camping experiences as required.
• Maintain organized camp areas and set‑up/break‑down equipment according to SOPs.
• Report safety or maintenance concerns to the Director of Outdoor Pursuits.
• Assist with inventory counts and stay current on activity equipment.
• Demonstrate and train staff on safe use of outdoor pursuits equipment.
• Maintain AED, First Aid, and CPR certifications.
• Attend department meetings and perform any additional duties assigned.

Required profile

• No specific degree required; a Bachelor’s in early education is a plus.
• Experience as a counselor or in guest services is desired.
• CPR, First Aid, and AED certification required.
• Strong swimmer comfortable in the ocean.
• Prior outdoor education experience with children of varying ages.
• Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours and schedules.
