Juvenile Program Manager – Douglas CSO (Douglasville, GA)

About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking a Juvenile Program Manager for the Douglas County Sheriff's Office. This position supervises staff, delivers social services, and guides rehabilitation plans for offenders in custody or on probation.

Key responsibilities

• Interview probationers and parolees to assess progress and compliance with rehabilitation plans.
• Recommend remedial or court actions for non‑compliance.
• Administer drug and alcohol testing, including random screens.
• Maintain case files and prepare detailed progress reports.
• Conduct investigations, provide testimony in court, and recommend sentencing conditions.
• Inform offenders of conditional release requirements such as restitution, education, and employment.
• Arrange medical, mental health, or substance‑abuse treatment as ordered.
• Supervise community‑based sentences, including electronic monitoring and field visits.

Required profile

• Associate degree in a related field with at least five years of relevant experience, including one year in a supervisory role, OR seven years of direct case‑management experience with offenders.
• Strong knowledge of probation, parole, and rehabilitation processes.
• Ability to prepare reports, conduct investigations, and testify in court.
