Junior Web Developer

About the role

The Junior Web Developer will join AAR’s corporate headquarters in Wood Dale, IL, supporting the design, development, maintenance and enhancement of web‑based applications built on Adobe ColdFusion. Working closely with senior developers and business stakeholders, you will help deliver secure, scalable solutions that meet enterprise standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test and maintain ColdFusion (CFML/CFScript) applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application defects and performance issues.
• Support database integrations, write SQL for Oracle and PostgreSQL.
• Collaborate on new feature delivery and enhancements.
• Monitor application performance and recommend improvements.
• Participate in code reviews and follow development standards.
• Maintain technical documentation and assist with deployment and version control (Git/Azure DevOps).
• Support legacy systems while contributing to modernization efforts.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Understanding of SQL and relational databases.
• Familiarity with version‑control systems (Git, Azure DevOps).
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 0‑3 years of software development experience.
