Junior Systems Administrator – On-site (Brooklyn)

About the role

A private K‑12 school system in South Brooklyn is looking for a Junior Systems Administrator to manage on‑site IT operations for an elementary campus. The role works independently while collaborating closely with IT leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Provide standalone support for all IT operations on the school campus.
• Manage Active Directory, endpoint management, and software deployments.
• Troubleshoot network, printer, and system issues.
• Support classroom technology and audio/visual equipment.
• Serve as senior escalation point and backup for IT leadership.
• Create and modify MDM policies.

Required profile

• 2–5+ years of systems administration experience.
• Strong background in Active Directory and device management.
• Ability to work independently on‑site.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience designing networks or performing advanced troubleshooting.
• Experience with automation and AI technologies.
• Passion for IT; home labs are a plus.

What we offer
