Junior Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Software Engineer to join Multifactor’s small, senior team and help build our platform. You will ship production code from day one, own real features, and grow quickly through close mentorship and direct access to senior engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Write and ship production code across the product surface, including backend services, APIs, browser extensions, and client applications.
• Own features end‑to‑end, turning well‑scoped problems into working software with guidance on complex parts.
• Pair program, review code, and design alongside senior engineers and the founder.
• Contribute to security‑focused systems that mitigate prompt injection, credential theft, and other emerging threats.
• Develop engineering fundamentals such as testing, CI/CD, code review, and incident response.

Required profile

• 0–3 years of software engineering experience; recent graduates are welcome.
• Hands‑on builder who enjoys writing code and shipping features.
• Comfortable working across the stack or eager to learn both backend and frontend development.
• Interest in security and willingness to learn threat modeling.
• Ability to work with ambiguity in a seed‑stage environment and ask good questions.
• Careful yet fast coding style with a focus on correctness.
• Clear communicator who can explain work and seek help when needed.
