Junior Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Manufacturing Engineer to join our production team in Middletown, CT. The role focuses on supporting new product introductions, driving process improvements, and ensuring product quality through systematic analysis and documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead PFMEA and Control Plan development, calculate RPNs, and track corrective actions.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis (5‑Whys, Fishbone, 8D) and manage CAPA implementation.
• Design and qualify manufacturing processes for new products and capital equipment, including first‑article inspections.
• Monitor process capability (Cp/Cpk) and SPC data, trigger investigations when performance deviates.
• Collaborate with shop‑floor teams to update work instructions, SOPs, tooling specs, and QAD documentation.
• Support EH&S initiatives, identify ergonomic risks, and drive safety improvements.
• Participate in lean initiatives such as Kaizen, 5S, and Gemba walks, integrating RCA findings.
• Mentor peers on RCA and CAPA methodologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing or related engineering.
• 1–5 years of experience in manufacturing, process engineering, or quality.
• Proven ability to work cross‑functionally and lead improvement workshops.
