Junior Architect – Construction

About the role

Path Construction is looking for a motivated Junior Architect to support its design‑build projects across a variety of sectors. The role is based in the Chicago area and offers the chance to work on diverse construction projects while developing technical and project management skills.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, and executing technical documentation, including interpreting and coordinating project team assignments.
• Support the creation and delivery of design packages from schematic through construction documents.
• Help establish budgets, task schedules, and other work‑plan components.
• Coordinate production of schematic, design development, and construction documents in collaboration with Project Managers and Senior Architects.
• Work with engineering consultants throughout design phases.
• Perform construction administration duties such as RFIs, RFPs, and Change Orders.
• Participate in marketing efforts and present design concepts to prospective clients.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Architecture.
• 1‑6 years of relevant professional experience preparing conceptual, schematic, design development, and construction documents.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, specifications, and engineering systems.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Experience with Navisworks (preferred).
• Graphic design, 3D modelling and visualization software.
• Effective verbal and written communication and presentation abilities.
