Judaic Studies Teaching Assistant

About the role
Sinai Akiba Academy is seeking dynamic and creative Teaching Assistants to support Judaic Studies teachers in the Lower School (Kindergarten‑5). The role involves assisting with curriculum delivery, preparing materials, and supporting students’ academic, social and emotional development.
Key responsibilities
- Assist lead Judaic Studies teachers with curriculum implementation, assessment and student engagement both in‑class and during off‑campus activities.
- Prepare and differentiate instructional materials under guidance of lead teachers.
- Collaborate on lesson planning and track student progress and assignment completion.
- Supervise students during recess, lunch and other non‑instructional times.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school community initiatives such as RULER and Responsive Classroom practices.
- Support additional tasks as directed by the Director of Jewish Education, Director of Student Life & Experiential Learning, or Head of School.
