Job Captain – Architecture & Interior Design

About the role

CARMW architecture & interiors is seeking a Job Captain to join its San Francisco studio. The role focuses on translating design concepts into detailed construction documents for both architectural and interior projects, ensuring compliance with codes, specifications, and client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop technical drawings and documentation from concept through construction phases.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Project Architects, and consultants to align schedules, budgets, and design intent.
• Research and apply building codes, municipal requirements, sustainability, and accessibility standards.
• Prepare presentations, specifications, and construction administration documents, including RFIs and submittals.
• Supervise junior team members, conduct quality‑control reviews, and enforce RMW best‑practice templates and details.
• Validate materials, finishes, furniture, and building systems against project goals.

• Flexibility to manage multiple assignments within a team structure.
