Java Microservices Developer – Atlanta, GA

About the role

Infosys is seeking a Java Microservices Developer to join its Retail, Consumer Goods and Logistics unit. The role will involve designing, building and maintaining micro‑service based applications for clients across the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Document and analyse business requirements and support the elicitation process.
• Lead design discussions, capture decisions and guide the technical team.
• Develop new features and enhance existing Java applications using Spring Boot and micro‑service patterns.
• Perform code reviews, manage code repositories and ensure system stability.
• Define and execute test strategies, analyse results and coordinate bug‑fixes.
• Create user training material, documentation and support frameworks for smooth roll‑out.
• Participate in production issue resolution and propose preventive measures.
• Maintain detailed records of code changes, testing techniques and support activities.

Required profile

• Strong collaborative spirit with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to manage end‑to‑end SDLC phases from requirement gathering to implementation.
• Capability to translate complex requirements into actionable development tasks.
• Passion for design and hands‑on coding experience in Java.
