Java Integration Engineer (Remote, USA)

About the role

Infosys Public Services is looking for a Java Integration Engineer to design, develop, and maintain integration solutions for enterprise clients across the United States. The role is fully remote and involves collaborating with functional analysts, QA testers, product owners, and business stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java‑based backend services and integration workflows.
• Design, implement, and support RESTful APIs, including authentication and data transformation.
• Build and troubleshoot Apache Kafka pipelines, handling message production, consumption, and schema management.
• Create and schedule cron jobs or other automated background tasks within enterprise environments.
• Write complex SQL queries, tune performance, and resolve database issues in Oracle.
• Participate in CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Apply enterprise integration patterns to connect multiple upstream and downstream systems.
• Collaborate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and use work‑management tools (e.g., VersionOne).

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent, or three years of progressive relevant experience.
• Proven experience in Java development and API integration.
• Hands‑on experience with Apache Kafka and Oracle databases.
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices and Agile methodologies.
• Understanding of IT Service Management processes (e.g., ServiceNow) is a plus.
