Java Fullstack Engineer with Azure

About the role

CGI is looking for a proactive Java Fullstack Engineer with Azure experience to join a high‑performing team serving a major client. You will work in a hybrid model, collaborating daily with the client and delivering end‑to‑end solutions across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Full‑stack development including analysis, design, coding, unit testing and implementation of distributed applications and micro‑services.
• Drive design discussions, own end‑to‑end implementation and lead proof‑of‑concepts for new tools and technologies.
• Plan and implement DevOps procedures to improve operational efficiency and automation.
• Establish, improve and maintain proactive monitoring, performance, availability, resiliency and security of supported assets.
• Maintain collaborative relationships with delivery partners and business stakeholders.
• Deliver work following Agile development methodology.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience as a Java Full‑Stack Developer with Azure.
• Strong expertise in API standards, micro‑services architecture, RESTful and SOAP services (JSON/XML).
• Experience with integration technologies such as Spring Boot, Apache Camel and Fuse.
• Proficiency in Java (Java 8) and functional/reactive programming.
• Ability to build and deploy cloud‑native applications on Microsoft Azure, including event‑driven architectures using Azure messaging services.
• Hands‑on experience containerizing applications with Docker and deploying to Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) or OpenShift.
• Solid knowledge of RDBMS and NoSQL databases, Git flow, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and deployment strategies.
• Familiarity with performance testing tools (JMeter, NeoLoad) and application patterns such as circuit breakers, throttling, rate limiting and service discovery.
• Understanding of Agile development concepts and ability to analyse business problems.
